Aoun meets French candidate Smida

French parliamentary elections candidate, Patricia Smida, Friday visited MP Michel Aoun in Rabieh within her tour to meet with Lebanese senior officials.

Smida, who is of Lebanese origins, urged French residents as well as Lebanese people of French origins, to enroll their names in the French Consulate's electoral lists so as to practice their right to vote.

"I defend the non-payment tax cause which shall be imposed on French residing aboard," she said.

Besides, Aoun received former Deputy Moustafa Hussein.

In the wake of today's explosion that has targeted UNIFIL patrol, Aoun uttered stern rejection and called on those to hold any objection to the forces' presence in Lebanon to express their opinion publicly and through peaceful means.
