Sleiman calls on regulatory committees to assume responsibility, end violations

President Michel Sleiman called Wednesday on the regulatory and disciplinary bodies to assume their responsibilities and end the violations committed at public institutions and municipalities.

During a meeting he headed at the Baabda Presidential Palace, Sleiman urged the disciplinary body in charge of municipal affairs and the other regulatory committees to perform their duties, stressing the need to pass the administrative decentralization law that seeks to redistribute authority and responsibility in order to reflect real partnership between the citizen and the state.

During the meeting, the conferees stressed the need to pursue and arrest all violators and take the necessary measures against them in accordance with the law.

Prior to the meeting, President Sleiman held talks with caretaker Prime Minister Najib Miakti where they tackled the latest developments and the outcome of the president’s visit to Saudi Arabia.
