Sleiman calls on security forces to intensify efforts
President of the Republic Michel Sleiman chaired this afternoon, at the Presidential Palace in Baabda, the cabinet's session assigned to continue studying the parliamentary elections law draft. Separately, the President met with Municipalities and Interior Minister Marwan Charbel who briefed him on security issues in Lebanon.

After his meeting with Charbel, Sleiman called on “the security forces to intensify their efforts to preserve security and stability especially in the season's period  to prevent any security incidents, arrest perpetrators and refer them to concerned justice."

Sleiman also discussed with Member of Parliament Boutros Harb current security developments on both domestic and regional scenes.

Moreover, the President discussed current issues on the domestic scene with both former ministers Mona Afeich and Youssef Saad. In addition, Sleiman met with the candidate for French elections, Patricia Elias Smida of Lebanese origin, accompanied with a delegate of her electoral campaign.
