1,500 meters of high-tension cables stolen in Douris

Unidentified persons stole nearly 1,500 meters of high-tension cables Sunday night in Douris. During a blackout, the thieves dismantled the cable suspended along the highway from Al-Ahli hospital to al-Toufaily station, a distance of 1,480 meters.

In addition to streetlights along the length of the highway, the towns of Housh Barada, Majdaloun, Ain al Sawda, Britel, Hazen, Al Taybeh lost power due to the theft.
