Fire erupts in Forum de Beyrouth, causing severe traffic jam

A fire erupted in Forum de Beyrouth exhibition hall at 6 am on Thursday causing severe traffic jam on Karantina's highway.

Beirut Fire Brigades Units which were able to extinguish the flames had faced difficulties due to the thick smoke that billowed skyward.

The raging blaze erupted due to malfunction in electrical equipment and cables.

Five fire trucks worked to bring down the flames.

This as, Sergeant-Major Hassan Musulmani was reported injured after some walls collapsed and transported to Rizk Hospital while Corporal Jamal Hawa's injury to the hand was treated on site.
