MP Hbeish says Lebanese government is worn

MP Hady Hbeish called Thursday on the authorities to establish a body tasked with dealing with disasters such as road flooding, noting that the security apparatuses face the same issue every year with the first rainfall.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Hbeish said that nothing exempts the caretaker cabinet from its responsibilities, stressing that the government has become worn, while the public institutions are all damaged.

On another note, the MP called on Hezbollah to participate in national dialogue and withdraw from Syria, deeming unacceptable any Lebanese intervention in the Syrian conflict.

“Why does an armed Hezbollah member have the right cross the Lebanese-Syrian border, while any other person is banned?” he asked.

In this context, Hbeish pointed out that the Syrian regime has been involved in exporting terrorists since a long time.

However, the MP stated that Hezbollah’s accusation to Saudi Arabia is a political accusation and expresses the party’s stance toward the gulf country, noting that Saudi Arabia has never been accused of being involved in any terrorist act.

“The relation between Iran and Saudi Arabia is not completely cut off, but Hezbollah would never launch accusations against the Kingdom without Iran’s approval,” he said.
