Caretaker PM Mikati calls on all parties to support LAF, security forces

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned on Monday the two attacks that targeted the Lebanese Armed Forces in Sidon late on Sunday, killing a soldier and wounding three others.

Mikati called on all parties to support the Lebanese army and the security forces, urging them to prevent anyone from undermining security as well as the military institution's role.

This comes after Lebanese Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji briefed Mikati on the circumstances of both attacks on the LAF and the results of ongoing investigations.

Mikati offered his condolences for the death of the LAF soldier, wishing a speedy recovery to those who were injured.
