Future bloc: Hezbollah is responsible for security tension

The Future bloc condemned on Tuesday the attack that targeted the Lebanese Armed Forces in the southern city of Sidon, considering it as a terrorist act that should not go unnoticed.

The bloc stressed on the urgency of carrying out thorough investigations to reveal the circumstances of the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice, praising the common decision that was issued following the various meetings that were held to discuss the situation in Sidon.

The bloc also reiterated in its weekly statement, confirmation of their adherence to the state and its institutions considering that the first priority should be confronting anyone deviating from national consensus and security apparatuses.

In this context, the bloc condemned Hezbollah’s media campaign that aims to tarnish the image of Sidon and Tripoli, stressing that Hezbollah's involvement in the Syrian crisis is leading to tension in the countryIn this regard, the Future Bloc called in its statement on all Lebanese factions to hold national dialogue sessions, appealing to President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam to form a cabinet at the soonest time possible.
