Barefaced burglars loot Byblos in broad daylight

A car dealership in Bouar, a jewelry store and many shops in Jbeil are being looted by the so called “Ramy al Dabbous”, 33, born in Tripoli.

The value of the stolen items from the shops and car dealership differ from one robbery to the other. The most significant losses were incurred by Richard Kanaan, car dealership owner, and a jewelry store located in Jbeil market from which Ramy and his companion stole $14,500.

Ramy not only steals large sums of money, but may also resort to fraud to get 100,000 L.L.

Two days after the initial robbery, meters away from the butcher, the same incident took place at a juice store, where a sum of 200,000 L.L. was stolen.

Ramy has a black record; he was previously imprisoned on charges of armed robbery, fraud and drug possession. Yet, when released, Ramy resumed his criminal activities.

When will he go back to jail to put an end to the terror haunting souls of citizens who are wondering: How do we protect ourselves from these robberies?
