MP Abi Ramia: MP Aoun is the most appropriate candidate for presidency

MP Simon Abi Ramia asserted on Saturday that Lebanon " is going through a crucial phase" which requires the presence of an apt President of Republic who represents the Christians.

Abi Ramia's comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show in which he noted that the Christian leaders must unite in order to enhance the Christians' role in the country.

He also said that the Free Patriotic Movement is deploying its utmost efforts in order to restore Lebanon's stability amid the regional crisis, adding that MP Michel Aoun is the most appropriate candidate for the presidency.

Lebanese leaders are sharply divided over various political issues, such as the formation of a new government, the electoral law that would govern the upcoming parliamentary elections, the presidential elections and the Syrian civil war.
