Sleiman stresses importance of communication between religions

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman called Wednesday on all Lebanese factions to think of Lebanon’s current situation, as well as the violence taking place in Syria.

Following a meeting with Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai at the patriarchal residence in Bkerke, President Sleiman stressed the importance of communication between religions, pointing out that Christianity was built on diversity.

On another note, President Sleiman said the upcoming entitlements are all constitutional, and urged all Lebanese parties to speed up the formation of a cabinet.

Following the meeting, President Sleiman participated in the Christmas mass at the Patriarchal Edifice of Bkerke.

It is worth noting that Head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt also participated in the Christmas mass in Bkerke.
