General Security arrests currency counterfeiting gangs

The state-run National News Agency reported on Saturday that the General Security arrested Lebanese and Syrian nationals for forming currency counterfeiting gangs in the eastern Bekaa valley.

The agency added that the General Security members arrested two Lebanese and a Syrian on suspicion of robbing homes and farms in the town of Bar Elias.

The suspects have been referred to the concerned judicial authorities.

This as General Security also arrested four Syrians in the town of Ferzol for using counterfeit currency and smuggling them into Syria.

General Security launched an investigation to reveal more details about their crime.
