Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri warned all the Lebanese people, mainly the Sunnites, against supporting "fishy calls" urging them to involve the country in rejected and condemned wars.        

"The Lebanese and the Sunni sect refuse to be part of any war between Hezbollah and al-Qaeda in Lebanon and the region," Hariri said in a statement on Saturday, noting that they also refuse any attempt to target civilians in any Lebanese region.          

Future Movement leader MP Hariri added that “fishy calls issued by extremist groups that are proven to be linked to the 'murderous' regime in Damascus, only aim to make the conflict in the neighboring country slip over into the Lebanese territories.”           

"Every reasonable Lebanese citizen would refuse to be dragged to such calls as much as Hezbollah's involvement in the Syrian war is rejected," Hariri said.
