Arsal official figures: We are not ISIL members, but moderate Sunnis

Arsal’s official figures expressed their rejection to all forms of self-imposed security measures evident in some residents being attacked at checkpoints set up along the international road from Hermel to Ablah, they said in reference to Hezbollah security points.

In a statement released on Monday, the officials called on Hezbollah to halt all forms of harassment targeting Arsal residents, stressing that “they are not members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) or any other extremist group, but are moderate Sunni people.”
