Mikati from Germany: My actions reflect my conscious

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said Saturday that all the Lebanese people have become threatened, noting that this situation is the result of the regional events and the local tension.

“My actions reflect my conscious and my national responsibility, I ask God to save our country and the people,” Mikati said from Germany where he takes part in the annual Munich Security Conference.

The caretaker PM had reiterated on Friday evening his call on the International Community, on behalf of Lebanon, to increase its assistance to the Syrian refugees in order to keep up with humanitarian mission.

Mikati made his remarks during a meeting tackling the Syrian crisis, within the framework of the annual Munich Security Conference.

He also urged for a serious cease fire in Syria, and for imposing a truce until a final solution will be reached, adding that this will take a while.
