State Commissioner files complaint against terrorism suspect Omar al-Atrash

The State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr filed on Wednesday a complaint against Omar al-Atrash on charges of involvement in the Haret Hreik explosions.

On Tuesday the state-run national News Agency reported that Military Examining Judge Nabil Wehbe issued an arrest warrant against Omar al-Atrash for carrying out terrorist activities, as well as for his role in smuggling suicide bombers into Lebanon.

Al-Atrash was also charged with detonating bombs and attacking the Lebanese Armed Forces in the regions of Majdelyoun and al-Awwali bridge and launching rockets on Israel.

Al-Atrash was arrested last month, and admitted last week for having ties with the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, Jabhat al-Nusra and The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) members.
