MP Kanaan underscores need to finalize ministerial statement to address security situation

Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan hoped on Tuesday that the ministerial statement will be finalized the soonest possible so that the security file could be addressed.

"The sessions must be concise and beneficial since the security situation is pressing," MP Kanaan said following his bloc's weekly meeting.

"Lately, a Lebanese Armed Forces officer and a soldier were killed in Hermel, which highlights the importance of supporting the army through a comprehensive plan," he added.
