Future bloc denounces approach adopted in responding to Sleiman

The Future bloc stressed the need to issue a ministerial statement that expresses the aspirations of the Lebanese people and allows the cabinet to kick off its work, serve the people’s best interests, restore stability and hold the presidential elections.

The bloc issued a statement on Thursday whereby it denounced the approach through which President Michel Sleiman was faced, noting that Sleiman represents the country and protects the constitution.

Following its meeting at Beit al-Wasat, the Future bloc stressed that the Baabda Declaration must be a part of the ministerial statement.

On another note, the bloc reiterated its call on Hezbollah to withdraw from Syria and return to Lebanon in order to put an end to the deadly and destructive actions, the repercussions of which will definitely be catastrophic on the Shiite party and the Lebanese people, as well as on the Iranian – Arab relations, the statement added.
