Hezbollah welcomes release of Maaloula nuns, hopes efforts continue to release all abducted people
Hezbollah welcomed Monday the release of Maaloula nuns, expressing “its appreciation for the efforts deployed in this regard in order to attain this accomplishment,” especially the efforts of the General Director of Lebanese General Security Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim.

In a statement issued by Hezbollah, the party hoped that the efforts will continue in a bid to free all the kidnapped people, including the Syrian bishops Youhanna Yaziji and Boulos Yaziji.

On Sunday the 9th of March, Syrian rebels released a group of about a dozen Greek Orthodox nuns who had been held since December, in exchange for the release of around 150 female prisoners held by the Syrian regime.
