ISIL claims responsibility for bomb targeting Israeli patrol on Lebanese border

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed on Friday the responsibility for the roadside bomb targeting an israeli patrol on the border with Lebanon.

Earlier, the Israeli military said a roadside bomb targeted a group of soldiers patrolling the border with Lebanon, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.

The military did not provide any further details of Friday's explosion. A spokesman reached by telephone said the military was looking into the incident.

In Lebanon, security officials say at least two artillery shells fired from Israel landed near the village of Halta in southern Lebanon, but caused no casualties.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.
