Army Command: LAF shoot at pick-up in Arsal, arrest Syrian gunmen

The Army Command - Orientation Directorate said on Sunday that a Lebanese army patrol opened fire on a pick-up truck coming from the Syrian territories via a dirt road in Arsal’s barren range.

The vehicle refused to comply with the orders of the checkpoint and returned back, the Army Command said in a statement.

“Another car carrying 3 Syrians coming from the Syrian territories was stopped in the region of Wadi Hamid,” the statement said, adding that the Syrians had drugs in their possession.

On another note, the Army Command said Syrian warplanes launched several rockets on areas near Arsal while pursuing gunmen on the border which is adjacent to the Syrian territories.
