REPORT: Cautious calm prevails over Al-Labweh, Arsal road remains closed
The road towards the bordering town of Arsal remained closed by residents for the second consecutive day to protest the Syrian shelling targeting the town.

Meanwhile, cautious calm prevailed over the town of Al-Labweh, and the town’s Mayor Ramez Amhaz stated that the residents of the town will not cut the humanitarian aid from the bordering town of Arsal.

This as Arsal municipality issued a statement in which it condemned “the terrorist explosion” that took place in the town of Nabi Osmane and the firing of rockets towards neighboring towns.

The statement also urged the Lebanese security apparatuses and the Lebanese army to impose security and stability.

The municipality reiterated its support to the Lebanese army, adding that Arsal’s residents refuse the presence of any “terrorist” in the town.
