State security unit arrests arm-smuggling network

The state-run National News Agency reported on Saturday that the General Directorate of State Security detained a four-member network specialized with trafficking and smuggling weapons to armed groups in Syria.

The NNA said that the State Security Bureau in the southern Nabatiyeh province thwarted an attempt by the network to smuggle arms to gunmen in Syria, and mentioned that the network is comprised of four Lebanese men, identified by their initials as W. N., S.A.Q., S. D., S. A.A.

The NNA also stated that the four suspects were referred to the relevant judicial authority for further investigations.
