NSSF employees charged with embezzlement interrogated

Beirut Examining Magistrate Judge Ghassan Oueidat kicked off Friday interrogations with seven detainees, who were arrested for being involved in the embezzlement of public funds from the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), bribes, forgery and incitement to commit arson.

On Wednesday, Financial Prosecutor Judge Ali Ibrahim charged the employees with the embezzlement of public funds and referred them to Judge Oueidat.

On Saturday March 22nd, Internal Security Forces members deployed near the National Social Security Fund building in Wata el-Msaytbeh and launched an investigation over public funds embezzlement, after reports in this regard emerged.
