March 14 General Secretariat: Hezbollah aims at imposing its conditions on Lebanon's president
The March 14 General Secretariat stated on Wednesday that the campaign carried out by Hezbollah against Lebanese President Michel Sleiman does not only target Sleiman, but also the presidency, pointing out that Hezbollah is aiming to impose its conditions on the upcoming president.

Following its weekly meeting, the Secretariat stressed that Hezbollah's hegemony on the Lebanese state should be halted, vowing that it will exert all efforts to elect a president that works for the interest of the Lebanese nation above all other considerations.

On another note, the March 14 General Secretariat hailed the implementation of the security plan in Tripoli, expressing its hope that all forms of abuse and violence be put to an end in the northern city.

“The government's bold political decision to put in force the security plan aims at applying the law and meeting the demands of the residents of Tripoli,” the Secretariat said in its statement.

In comments on the parliament's three-day legislative session, the General Secretariat said that talks are the first step for lawmakers to perform their constitutional and national duties.
