PHOTOS: Civil Defense teams rescue giant sea turtle found off the coast of Jiyeh

The Civil Defense Marine Rescue Unit in the region of Jiyeh found on Thursday a giant turtle trapped between the ropes off the coast of Jiyeh Marina.

The unit’s members worked on rescuing the turtle and bringing it to the Civil Defense center, where specialists examined it.

The turtle, which weighs at approximately 60 kilograms, was returned to the sea.
