Security meeting held in Baabda to evaluate Tripoli security plan
President Michel Sleiman chaired Monday a security meeting at the Baabda Presidential Palace, attended by Prime Minister Tammam Salam, deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Samir Moqbel, Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq, as well as leaders of security and military apparatuses.

During the meetings, the conferees evaluated the security plan implemented in Tripoli and neighboring northern regions, in a bid to impose security and stability.

Prior to the meeting, talks were held between President Sleiman and PM Salam concerning the current situation and the agenda of the cabinet session set to be held on Tuesday afternoon.

On another note, Sleiman tackled the issue of the factory producing pharmaceutical products under “Biolog”, which was permanently shut down, noting that such a step comes within the framework of protecting the citizens and fighting non-compliance with the Lebanese laws.
