Judge Saqr files complaints against 40 persons from Tripoli
State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr raised Monday complaints against 40 persons from Tripoli’s Jabal Mohsen and Bab el-Tabbaneh.

The first complaint was directed against 18 persons from Jabal Mohsen among them a Lebanese arrestee, while the second targets 21 persons including Bilal Bakkar and Raef Dandash and 19 others from Bab el-Tabbaneh.

As for the third complaint it was filed against Wael Ibrahim from Bab el-Tabbaneh on charges of forming armed groups in order to target citizens and state institutions.

Judge Saqr referred all the dossiers to the First Military Investigation Magistrate, Riad Abou Ghida.

The cabinet tasked the army and security forces with controlling the security situation in Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli and the eastern Bekaa Valley in areas bordering Syria.

In this context, army units conducted motorized patrols, established checkpoints, raided wanted persons and arrested a number of fugitives who were handed over to the concerned authorities.

LAF soldiers also deployed heavily in Tripoli as part of the security plan put forth, seemingly since disputes from neighboring Syria's civil war frequently inflame sectarian grievances in the northern Lebanese city.
