LF leader Geagea regrets March 8 failure to name candidate
"For the first time in many years, Lebanon's presidential elections are internal and serious," Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said on Wednesday, noting that he is holding contacts with all parties.

"Today's parliamentary session could be a 'rehearsal' but it is not a 'maneuver'," Geagea told reporters gathered in Maarab this morning.

"I was hoping that the other party [March 8 coalition] would nominate a presidential candidate so that the elections would follow certain known conventions," LF leader Geagea said.

He added that the rival party has no choice but to deal with the matter seriously.
