Fugitive Merhej Mohammad Jaafar arrested in Lebanon's Bekaa

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command said on Friday that the Intelligence Directorate arrested a fugitive in Bekaa after thorough search operations.

Merhej Mohammad Jaafar, who is affiliated with the so-called Mohammad Dora gang, is wanted on several arrest warrants.

Jaafar is accused of intercepting, along with other accomplices, a Syrian bus in the Baalbek region of Tal al-Abyad and stealing an amount of 25 million LBP from its passengers.

He is also accused of opening fire towards citizens in the town of Younin.
