MP Khaled al-Daher ruled out on Friday any possibility of holding the presidential elections any time before the month of September, “due to the deviant political behavior adopted by March 8 forces.”
“The parties obstructing the elections of a new president are harming the national interest and destroying the economic and political future of the Lebanese citizens,” he explained.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, MP al-Daher expressed surprise toward the fact that there are Christian parties seeking presidential vacuum, reiterating the need to elect a president “who would prevent the constitution from being violated by sending thousands of fighters to Syria to back a criminal regime.”
Al-Daher said that Hezbollah imported terrorism into Lebanon by participating in the Syrian war.
