Cabinet convenes, approves appointments

The cabinet convened on Friday at the Baabda Palace during which it approved the 15 administrative appointments that were on its agenda.

Roy Lahoud has been appointed as chairman of the board of directors at the housing institution while Brig. Gen. Nizar Khalil was named as head of the Higher Customs Council.

The cabinet also appointed Ahmed Halabi as a member on the Customs board of directors.

Prior to the session, President Michel Sleiman held talks with Prime Minister Tammam Salam.
