Aridi: Cabinet will decide wage increase issue

Public Works and Transportation Minister Ghazi Aridi said on Wednesday that the wage increase issue for employees would ultimately be decided by the cabinet after the increase was refused by the State Shoura Council yesterday.

Aridi's word came Wednesday at the Grand Serail in the wake of his meeting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati over the developmental workshop at Tripoli seaport.

Separately, Mikati headed a meeting at the Grand Serail for the High Committee for Relief, in which a number of ministers and seniors of said committee participated. Amongst Grand Serail's visitors has been State Minister for Parliamentarian Affairs, Nicholas Fattoush.
