Adwan probes wrongful killings on Lebanese-Syrian border
MP George Adwan said the Lebanese government must probe the killing incident in Akkar occurring last week when, according to him, Syrian forces members penetrated into the Lebanese territories only to kill three Lebanese in Wadi Khalid.

Adwan's word came on Wednesday in the context of a press conference he held at the House of Parliament. Adwan described the current cabinet as absent from handling its responsibilities.

He explained that if probes showed that the Syrian forces members carried out their operation under an individual context, the Syrian government must hand over the criminals to the Lebanese for trial.

If, he went on, the criminals belonged to the Syrian State, the Lebanese government must summon the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon to interrogation.

Otherwise, Adwan added, it would be better for the Lebanese government to resort to the Security Council requesting reinforcing the Lebanese Army's presence on the borders.

Adwan also addressed the government to urge Syria to haste to accomplish the borders democratic issue.
