Siniora says presidential void unacceptable
Head of the Future Parliamentary Bloc, Former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, stated on Saturday that presidential void is unacceptable, stressing that the “other party” should nominate its candidate, Siniora said in reference to March 8 forces.

Siniora said in a speech delivered from the northern city of Tripoli that the cabinet should carry on with its duties to pass this critical stage, adding that the parliament should also remain active and productive.

“The Future Movement does not aim at disrupting parliament’s work or boycotting its sessions,” Siniora said.

Siniora also pointed out that the future Bloc is ready to further discuss the series of ranks and salaries; however, emphasized that the bloc will not accept any financial or economic instability.

On another note, Siniora reiterated the call on Hezbollah to withdraw its forces from Syria, stressing that Lebanon should not engage in regional crises and should work on maintaining it security and stability in light of the emergence of extremist movements.
