Red Cross, Donner Sang Compter celebrate World Blood Donor Day

On the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day, the Red Cross in Lebanon launched a campaign, calling for “donating blood to save lives.”

In this regard, “Donner Sang Compter” association also launched a similar campaign in central Beirut, in an attempt to collect blood samples for a large number of patients in need.

The World Blood Donor Day, established in 2004 by the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO), serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank blood donors for their voluntary life-saving gifts of blood.
