[PHOTOS] Zgharta's municipality head killed in horrific car crash

Head of the Zgharta municipality, Toufic Albert Moawad, was killed on Thursday after his car crashed into a parked truck on the side of the Karantina highway at approximately 4:45 am.

Civil Defense units rushed to the scene of the incident to retrieve Moawad, transferring him to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his wounds shortly after.

No further details were provided.
