Jumblatt: Martin Indyk did the right thing by resigning as Middle East Envoy
The head of the Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt said Monday that “Martin Indyk did the right thing by resigning from his role as the Special Envoy for Middle East Peace Process,” noting that Indyk, as his predecessor Dennis Ross, hindered every chance for agreement due to their failed performance and biased policy.

In his weekly statement to al-Anbaa website, Jumblatt said that Indyk and Ross were trying to level the occupied people with the occupier, “as if they were even out the executioner and the victim,” as he said, in reference to the Palestinians and the Israelis.

“Their attempts have made it impossible to negotiate between the two parties, without removing the settlements and withdrawing from the occupied lands, mainly Jerusalem,” he added.
