Geagea says LF deputies exerted their efforts to elect president on due time
Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea expressed his concern on Saturday over presidential vacuum, pointing out that it will lead to governmental and parliamentary void.

In this regard, Geagea called on all Lebanese citizens to choose their candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections in a rational manner, stressing that deputies hindering presidential elections are eventually hindering the work of constitutional institutions and should not participate in political activities.

“Some factions may not participate in governmental and parliamentary activities while taking part in regional conflicts,” Geagea said.

Geagea also noted that LF MPs exerted their efforts to elect a president within the constitutional framework; however, emphasized that other deputies are still insisting on disrupting constitutional institutions.
