Lebanese television stations to air unified newscast on Monday

Local Lebanese television stations decided on Thursday to air a unified newscast to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and reject the Israeli assault on Gaza, a step that was endorsed by Information Minister Ramzi Jreij.

In this regard, Jreij said he was informed that the newscast is scheduled for Monday night, noting that he asked the state-run Tele Liban to participate in this plan aiming to express solidarity with the Palestinian people against the "inhumane crime committed by the Israeli army".

The minister also praised coordination meetings held between Lebanese and Palestinian officials upon the initiative of Talal Salman, the Editor in Chief of As-Safir newspaper.
