Two missing girls die after being found in south Lebanon river

Two girls identified as Mariam Ali Khalil, 11, and her sister Marwa, 7, died on Thursday after they went missing yesterday while swimming in the Besri river in Lebanon's south, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The girls, who were found in critical condition, were taken to the central hospital in the town of Mazboud where they later succumbed to their wounds.
