MP Kabbara: The Sunnis refuse to be used as human shields to protect 'Iran’s militia'

MP Mohammad Kabbara noted that the events taking place in the Sunni town of Arsal “is on chapter of a Syrian-Iranian project targeting the Sunnis,” stressing the need to maintain the role of the Lebanese army as a national institution that aims at protecting the Lebanese people.

Following the meeting of the National Islamic Gathering, MP Kabbara said that "the Sunnis refuse to be used as human shields to protect Iran’s militia," stressing that Lebanese would not have witnessed such incidents, if the Lebanese army had deployed at the border from the beginning.

He called on the authorities to exert pressure on Hezbollah to abstain from firing rockets in order for the gunmen to withdraw from the town.
