Army Intelligence Bureau refers army attacker to competent court
The Army Intelligence Bureau referred on Thursday to the judiciary a Lebanese man who was arrested in the weekend in the Bekaa Valley for his involvement in an attack on the Lebanese army.

In a communiqué, the military said that it referred a Lebanese national identified as Hussein Abed Ali Jaafar to the competent court after his arrest during a raid on his residence in Dar al-Wasaa.

Jaafar is wanted for attacking an army patrol, exchanging fire with other assailants, participating in kidnapping operations and for armed robbery, the communiqué added.

The army also sized military gear from him.

In April, the army failed to arrest Jaafar during a chase in the area of Dar al-Wasaa and al-Yammouneh.
