Electricite du Liban says power returned to most Lebanese regions

Electricite du Liban declared on Sunday that power has returned to most Lebanese regions after rain and violent weather had knocked out power to Beirut and across other regions on Saturday.

on Saturday, hours of heavy rain flooded several vital roads leading to several accidents, and causing material damages.

The hours of rain and lightning caused a blackout across the country, while phone and Internet services were severely disconnected.

Heavy rains frequently wreak havoc on Lebanon's infrastructure, often paralyzing the electricity network.
