LAF unit raids suspicious areas in Bhannine, two arrested

The Army Command- Orientation Directorate said a Lebanese Armed Forces patrol raided at dawn on Wednesday a suspicious area in the Menieh town of Bhannine, as part of the army’s efforts to pursue suspects involved in attacks against LAF soldiers.

“Adnan Mohammad al-Hajjeh was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the latest attacks against soldiers in the aforementioned town,” the Army Command said, noting that “light ammunition and communication devices were found in his possession”.

“Syrian national Ziad Mohammad Bajqa was also detained in the same town for being inside the Lebanese territories without legal papers,” the military command said, adding the detainees were referred to the concerned authorities.
