Israeli troops cross technical fence off al-Wazzani

The state-run National news Agency reported on Tuesday that an Israeli military unit crossed the technical fence off al-Wazzani in southern Lebanon and combed the area.

The agency added that the troops used sniffer dogs as Merkava tanks monitored them closely.

Israeli soldiers regularly cross the technical fence and sometimes enter the Lebanese territories through the Blue Line, which was set following Israel’s withdrawal from south Lebanon in 2000.

The fence runs parallel to the Blue Line.
