Relics, human remains found in Western Zawtar

The state-run National News Agency reported on Sunday that workers drilling in the public square of the town of Western Zawtar, south Lebanon, found relics and human remains presumed to date back to the Roman times.

The town's mayor notified the governor of Nabatiyeh as works came to a halt until an expert from the Directorate General of Antiquities could come and inspect the findings.
