Syrian child Ali Walid Halloum, reported missing in Akkar, found dead

14-year-old Syrian child Ali Walid Halloum, who was reported missing on Sunday evening, was found dead in the Akkar town of Kouweikhat on Monday.

Ali was heading towards a cellphone shop, about 150 meters away from his residence in Kouweikhat never to return again.

The town’s mayor Omar al-Hayek informed the security apparatuses about the child’s disappearance and Ali’s parents urged the concerned authorities to intensify efforts in a bid to reveal the fate of their child.
