Hollywood star Salma Hayek leaves Lebanon after 3-day visit

Movie star Salma Hayek left for London on Tuesday morning following a three-day visit to Lebanon whereby she launched her animated feature film "The Prophet", the state-run National News Agency reported.

Hollywood star of Lebanese origin Hayek held yesterday a press conference over the launching of her film and took part in a charity dinner with proceeds going to children with cancer.

On Sunday, Hayek visited the picturesque mountain village of Bcharre in northern Lebanon to pay homage to Gibran Khalil Gibran, the Lebanese-born poet who wrote "The Prophet," the book on which the film is based.
