Hezbollah's Naim Qassem urges Lebanese officials to stop giving 'free concessions' to Israel

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, said the group's resistance would continue "until the last breath," urging Lebanese officials to stop what he described as "free concessions."

Qassem said that "together—as a state, army, people and resistance—we protect our country, restore its sovereignty and expel the occupier," adding that Israeli threats and weapons would not deter them.

He claimed that the Israeli army had failed to achieve a ground incursion and had been "surprised" by the resistance's tactics, mobility, and defensive capabilities. He also accused Israel of resorting to intensified strikes on civilian areas across Beirut, its southern suburbs, South Lebanon, the Bekaa, and Mount Lebanon to compensate for what he described as battlefield setbacks.

Qassem warned that even the deployment of large numbers of Israeli troops would not lead to occupation, saying such forces would instead face heavy losses. He added that fighters on the front lines had "thwarted Israeli ambitions."

He also praised the resilience of the Lebanese people, saying displaced civilians had demonstrated strong morale despite the ongoing war.
